Pierro Dulcetti, "Dolcett" is an Italy born fetish expressionist artist now living in Canada. Moving to Canada, estimated some time in the late 60s or early 70s, Pierro Dulcetti continued his art under the psuedonym "Dolcett" and were pulished in the pulp adult tabloids. SATANIC CULTS, VIRGIN SACRIFICE,
DOLCETT CANNIBALISM, GYNOPHAGIA

When it came to tawdry, taboo subjects no other cult/horror producer back in the late 70's through the 80's would touch, Vidimax and it's "Macabre Video Underground" catalog venue went boldly where no other home entertainment production company dared to. To this day, the MVU has a huge cult following on the web.

It all started before anyone ever heard of "the internet," "cyberspace," or "www dot com." Urban theatres, such as New York's Times Square 42nd Street Row, no longer played those gritty, no-gloss, non-Hollywood cult/horror exploitation flicks (i.e. Herschel Gordon Lewis' "Wizard Of Gore" or pre-Troma's "The Incredible Torture Show n/k/a Blood Sucking Freaks." The huge movie grindhouses either played adult triple x or were pulverized by the big ball. When the home video (Betamax and VHS) revolution burgeoned, Commodore 64 QLink BBS were abuzz with the new Vidimax online site and print catalog containing those flicks which mama forbade to see downtown. Featured were the grisly, bold revivals Vidimax itself made with paltry camcorders, three person crews, and aspiring actors who weren't even heard of by their parents. Thus in 1978 entered "The Macabre Video Underground which remained the most controversial across the globe before the late 80's Asian Invasion, the so-called "Guinea Pig": series...but Vidimax was exclusively selling Japan's "Slow Death: Flowers Of Flesh & Blood" before pirates created the GP consortium.

Vidimax was first with Dolcett-TV, Gynophagia (girl eating) and Femcans with "Tenderloin" and the rural cannibal hospital. Vidimax was first with contemporary Goth and Necro with The Necrotic" and the true story of "Dr. X' who injected women with Curare and romanced their corpses. When Geraldo shocked TV viewers by connecting the 5% of unsolved preteen child abductions disappeating "without a trace" and covert satanic cults embracing Black Mass and Virgin Sacrifice (the network ordered the report never to be shown again), Vidimax trumped the investigative reporter with the more shockingly vivid "Child Of The Sabbat."

Vidimax is no longer in production. We can't make any new "Macabre Video Underground," videos. What we can do is bring you the original ones to watch or download and add to your cult/horror collection to remember the golden age of cult/horror before it went Hollywood slick with the Jasons, Freddies and Micheals.
